About Me

I'm Katelyn Mucci, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and other difficult experiences for over a decade. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Siena University and a Master's degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from the College of Saint Rose.

I believe that reaching out for therapy can be an important first step toward creating meaningful change. My goal is to provide a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and talk openly about what you're

experiencing.

My approach is grounded in the belief that people have the capacity to grow, build resilience, and move forward, even after difficult or painful experiences. I enjoy helping people better understand themselves, recognize patterns that may be holding them back, and develop healthier ways of coping and navigating life's challenges.

I also believe therapy doesn't have to feel overly formal or clinical. While therapy can involve difficult and emotional conversations, I value authenticity, connection, and humor and believe there should be room to laugh, too. I want therapy to feel like a genuine conversation with someone who is there to listen, understand, and support you.

I feel privileged to walk alongside my clients through the process of growth and change and to witness the greater confidence, self-awareness, and resilience that can come from that work.

A Path Rooted in Empathy

My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that healing begins with feeling truly heard. I focus on creating a space that is not only professional but profoundly empathetic, where your experiences are honored without judgment.

By blending evidence-based techniques  that include cognitive behavioral therapy with a warm, human-centered style, I help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

Therapy should be a collaborative journey toward growth. We will work together at your pace, identifying patterns that no longer serve you and building new tools for resilience and clarity.

I believe therapy can be both meaningful and approachable. While we may work through difficult experiences together, I also value humor, authenticity, and creating a space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.

Navigating challenges is easier with professional support. I am here to help you move forward. Contact me today to schedule an initial consultation.
